Two systems. Chosen by the project, not by our catalogue.

We manufacture both wood stud wall assemblies and structural insulated panels because neither is right for every project. Site conditions, engineering, code pathway, envelope targets, budget, and the crew doing the installation all point to one or the other, and many projects use both.

Tilt-up wood stud wall assemblies

Stud wall sections assembled on jigs, squared and fastened in the plant, then shipped flat and tilted up into place on site. Base plates arrive pre-cut. Wall sections drop on, lock in, and get fastened. Place, square, fasten, repeat.

Best for
  • Builders who want the familiar construction method with the precision and speed of factory assembly
  • Projects where local trades, inspectors, and engineers are already comfortable with conventional wood framing
  • Repeatable layouts such as garden suites, multiplexes, and townhome runs
Worth knowing
  • Conventional insulation and envelope detailing still applies unless upgraded with an exterior insulation package
  • Panels can be produced to allow later disassembly where the foundation and floor system are detailed for it

Structural insulated panels

Structure and insulation manufactured as one assembly for walls and roofs. Panels arrive pre-cut. A base plate goes down, the first panel stands, and each following panel locks into the one before it. Electrical chases are pre-drilled vertically and horizontally and conduit can be pre-run, so trades are pulling cable through a path that already exists rather than drilling on site.

Best for
  • Projects with high performance envelope targets
  • Fast enclosure where getting air and watertight quickly protects the schedule
  • Roof assemblies over conventional or ICF walls as part of a hybrid build
Worth knowing
  • Requires early engineering, panel layout, MEP coordination, and a lifting and logistics plan
  • Local code acceptance should be confirmed for the jurisdiction
  • Interior finishing is conventional. Trades typically need about a day to get comfortable with the rough-in, and everything after that is done the way they already know

Panel dimensions

Panels are produced to accommodate 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 foot ceiling heights. Widths run from 4 feet up to 24 feet, which allows long open spans with fewer connections. Final sizing is set by the design, the transport route, and the lifting plan for the site.

Field flexibility

  • Panels can be cut on site when a project requires it
  • Blank, uncut panels are available as insurance on difficult jobs
  • An overage is factored into each order. Unused uncut panels can be kept for the next project, used as displays, or returned
